A billionaire who could beat Trump would require a change in the US Constitution.

angryTrumpIt’s a shame that the one billionaire who could beat Trump isn’t a democrat or a republican.  But he certainly should join the democrats and be the leader of the democratic party, and next term run for President; if only he was born in the United States.

Yes, that person is none other than Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, among other companies that have created jobs in the country that have nothing to do with the media or real estate.

Musk for PresidentDespite living most of his life in the U.S., he was born in South Africa which pretty much disqualifies him as a candidate.  But how much better could it be?  Someone who knows first hand that when stress is overwhelming, there’s a substance available to put a smile on your face and calm your nerves.  Someone who might be inspired to do away its illegality at the federal level once and for all.

  • TRUMP – frequent and public bouts of anger. MUSK – smokes a joint!
  • TRUMP – lies about everything.   MUSK – exaggerates about the positive.
  • TRUMP – insults and grabs women.  MUSK – a nerd worships women.
  • TRUMP – goal is to befriend Putin.  MUSK – goal is to explore the universe.
  • TRUMP – trade war with China.  MUSK – builds factories in US and China.

and the list goes on.  Clearly the future for that country would be so much brighter with this accomplished man at the helm.  The U.S. Congress should act now and introduce legislation to alter the Constitutional restriction.  Here’s the issue (from Wikipedia):

Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as president of the United States, under clause 5 (emphasis added):

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Would the Senate back it?  With a Republican majority, the only way this might happen (I’m no expert, just winging it) is if Trump himself is in favor of the change.  This is easily accomplished – Elon just has to promise to play golf with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and bring Putin and Mohammad bin Salman to make a foursome.
