Federal Budget 2011 – Or the Rocky (Flaherty) & Bullwinkle (Harper) Show

My frustration with the Canadian federal government and the frequent but petty and callous roadblocks to ‘goodness’ that permeates their so-called policies.  I can’t write about it so watch my rant.

  1. Tom Neufeld says:

while I don’t want to see another election waste our time and money, the fact that the budget may get defeated and not allow this new flow through rule become law (for now) is one good result…. nice rant!!

  2. George Robinson says:

Great rant, Mal – I wish more people would remember Flaherty’s Halloween. Petty and Callous indeed – maybe Predatory and Charmless? These people besmirch the very idea of Conservatism with their doctrinaire greed for power.

  3. While I don’t like to see MORE tax payer money wasted on another election we do need to take a stand against another Harper/Flaherty attack on Canadian tax payers while giving away BILIONS in tax breaks to Corporations. They now have to attack flow through funding strategies for Cdn Charities to save a few hundred million. Give us a break, Mal your rant is great! Keep it up! We have to remind Canadians of all the lies and broken promises of the Harper Dictatorship, in particular the Halloween present of 2006 that destroyed trusts. Another fabricated and completely false lie about so called tax leakage based on a flawed study that was then blacked out so the public couldn’t read it.
